  I can’t begin to describe how poorly operated this studio is. I’ve never felt the need to post about a yoga studio publicly, but I just need to post about this one. From way overpacking a room (54 students) - literally centimeters away from each other - creating a highly unpleasant and highly dangerous environment, to having a speaker system that barely works, to instructors blasting classic rock at full volume mid-class (yoga?), to only 2 bathroom for a full class, to no regular-sized towels, to charged washcloths that were so dirty I’m not sure I would’ve used them to clean my bathroom floor, I just can’t describe how objectionable and unpleasant the experience was. There was absolutely nothing meditative about the experience and the staff couldn’t have been any more disinterested.
  
  Lastly and importantly — I was agog; aghast at the overly stylized Ganesh painted on the front wall. Adorned with a baseball hat, high-top sneakers, and hip-hop-inspired jewelry, he gazes onto the entire class as the appropriated figment of a lackluster and culturally insensitive imagination. Even as a totally agnostic Hindu, I found it deeply offensive and clearly ignorant of the basic nature of the use of imagery and idols in the Hindu tradition. Some “yoga” training these folks must’ve had.
  
  Take your money and time and energy and spend them at one of Williamsburg’s other many, many studios.
